The shell is further protected by a layer of stone backfill, weeping tile, filter blanket, a below-grade sump pump and a backup pump. As a perimeter overflow pool with an integral surge tank, there are zero suction fittings in the shell. We rigidly adhere to curing times for concrete and supplement the cure with water from hoses on dedicated timers. Our concrete is batched at a local plant and is placed by a large crane-style concrete pump within 60 minutes. The concrete is carefully vibrated enough to eliminate voids and avoid stratification of the mixture. We do not use any type of form release to eliminate bonding issues with tile and/or waterproof pool interior coatings. The resulting precision from cast-in-place concrete is a direct result of having zero tolerance in forming methods.
