DAVID B. DUENSING & ASSOCIATES INC.
Initial review of the estate revealed an expansive sloping lawn with numerous majestic oaks. It was a perfect situation for integrating ponds, streams and waterfalls. The ultimate design included three major ponds, totaling approximately 1.3 acres and connected by streams, with waterfalls varying in height from 4-, 6- and 12 feet. The goals for this estate were a waterfeature that appears natural, generates a calming effect, creates focal and destination points, and leaves some mystery to compel visitors to explore the surrounding gardens. Here, we get a glimpse of what the waterfall site on the previous pages looked like during construction.
