Catalina’s new Luxury Series is so hot it’s on fire. The six models in this collection include LED-lit water fountains, crystal balls, jets, water spouts, cup holders, and an actual fire feature with two ethanol burning torches. The extra amenities and design elements are made to increase comfort and interest, encouraging people to enjoy the spa more often.
“Fire has become popular in the industry, so we tried to figure out how to incorporate it into a hot tub without it being dangerous,” says Dave Hatley, president and CEO of LPI. “We came up with a fire torch that burns itself out.”
Other key features include an auto-fill water system, freshwater misters, a Wi-Fi-enabled touchscreen control panel, and LED magnetic pillows. The magnetic pillows are made to detach for easy cleaning and maintenance. In order to find magnets strong enough, Hatley says they went outside the normal magnet industry and used auto industry magnets.
The firm has patents pending on both the fire element and the magnetic pillows, according to Hatley. The Series made its big debut in Orlando and is set to begin manufacturing for distribution in early 2018.
