As BioLab continues to face blow-back from a fire in its Conyers, Ga. facility, it also has made moves to get the plant back in working order.
On Sept. 29, the fire broke out on the roof, resulting in area-wide evacuations and shelter-in-place orders.
The facility has re-opened for partial operation. Currently it is focusing on fulfilling orders, but has not yet resumed manufacturing.
Momentum continues to build in a drive to remove the firm from Conyers. A group of citizens, called the Shut Down BioLab Coalition, is trying to pressure the county to revoke BioLab’s business license there. And dozens of class-action lawsuits against the chemical manufacturer have been consolidated.
