Pentair Pool has launched a new water safety webpage in partnership with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA). The resource is part of the two organizations’ joint effort to strengthen water safety education and drowning prevention across the pool and spa industry.
The webpage provides practical resources for pool professionals and families. Materials include a water safety checklist, lessons on active supervision, and educational videos.
Drowning remains a leading cause of preventable death among children. Pentair Pool and the NDPA say pool professionals are uniquely positioned to help address the issue because they regularly work with families in their homes and backyards.
The partnership aims to establish a common language around water safety. It also encourages pool professionals to lead safety conversations with customers and to share trusted drowning-prevention resources.
“Safety is of the utmost importance to the pool industry, and supporting this program is one meaningful way we can stand alongside NDPA,” said Kenneth Gregory, compliance and safety manager for Pentair Pool. “We’re proud to partner with the NDPA to help advance water safety initiatives and reinforce best practices.”
Alissa Magrum, executive director of the NDPA, said pool professionals have an important role as trusted messengers. “Being able to have conversations about safety in a way that shows your customers that you care about the safety of their family and sharing drowning prevention resources is how pool professionals can make an incredible impact on their clients and the communities they serve.”
The new webpage provides industry professionals with a centralized source of safety education materials. Pentair Pool and the NDPA hope the collaboration will help expand the reach of drowning prevention efforts nationwide.
