Pool equipment maker Hayward has recalled its UHXNEGVT15001 Negative Pressure 6-inch Vent Kit for pool heaters. It is used exclusively on H500FD gas heaters. The recall only pertains to those units installed indoors and using 6-inch negative pressure galvanized vent piping.
Consumers are advised to immediately cease operating the heater and contact Hayward for free replacement and installation of a new vent kit.
No injuries have occurred. The recalled kits were sold at pool equipment distributors nationwide and online at poolsupply4less.com and tcpoolequipment.com between March 2015 and April 2019.
