Freelance designer Jim Wolfe imports aerial drone photos into 3-D design software to create backyard projects.
An image of an existing back yard is taken from about 75 feet up.
The drone circles the yard several times. With each pass, the angle on the camera is adjusted to capture more data.
Images captured by the drone are converted to scale in a 3D model. The model is then imported into Pool Studio, allowing Wolfe to design in a 3D environment.
