A maker of cast acrylics for the hot tub industry has a new name and logo.
Effective June 1, Florence, Ky.-based Aristech Acrylics has joined with its sister brand Avonite Surfaces under the umbrella company name Aristech Surfaces.
The two brands have coexisted since 2003 but had separate identities. As part of the firm's effort to leverage the synergies between the acrylics and surface product lines, a new logo also will represent the "total solutions approach rather than a product-focused perspective," according to an announcement from CEO Ross McMillan.
"I am excited at this opportunity for us to redefine our image," he added. "This new brand provides us with clear values and direction that will bring success to our entire organization."
The Avonite brand is used for everything from kitchen countertops to retail displays. Since 1969, Aristech Acrylics has manufactured acrylic sheets for the manufacturing of hot tubs.
