The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance and the International Code Council have released the latest ANSI/PHTA/ICC-4 2025 American National Standard for Aboveground/Onground Residential Swimming Pools. Known as PHTA-4, it provides recommended minimum guidelines for the design, equipment, operation, and installation of aboveground and onground residential pools. While anyone can voluntarily comply, it is only required in jurisdictions that adopt it.
