In June, Custom Molded Products Co-founder Charles Li, pH.D, retired from the company. Li isn’t completely leaving the company as he will remain a member of CMP’s Board of Directors. He will also be acting as an advisor to William Drury, the company’s CEO and other co-founder.
Li graduated from Georgia Tech with a doctorate in Polymer Engineering. After college, he founded CMP with Drury. During his time with the company, Li headed its engineering and manufacturing efforts.
During Li’s time at CMP the firm expanded distribution across the United States and internationally. The product line grew to include the pool & spa and bath industries. Finally, in 2013 under his watch, the firm opened a new manufacturing facility in Newnan, Ga. where CMP is headquartered.
