Pool and spa industry professionals are mourning the loss of Marc Young, who passed away Feb. 9, 2014, at age 60. Young was the CEO of American Pool Safety Specialists in Bridgeport, Conn. “His presence would light up a room. His laughter could be heard above all. His friendship and loyalty were unwavering and his love was unconditional,” said Tom Dankel, VP, Aquamatic Cover Systems, in Gilroy, Calif. “He made us part of his legacy and in his name, we will carry on.”
Born in 1954, in Albuquerque, N.M., Young was an industry veteran who started American Pool Safety Specialists more than a decade ago. According to an obituary published in The Hour, he is survived by his wife Kathryn and children Myles, Eliza, Danielle, and Colleen.
