FPSIE Presents Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer Course

1 MIN READ

The Foundation for Pool & Spa Industry Education will be conducting 15 presentations of Pacific Gas & Electric Company’s new contractor training program, the Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer Course, from now through February 2014 across Northern California. PG&E developed the course to bring attention to its pool and spa rebate on variable speed pumps, which only achieves expected energy savings for homeowners if the pumps are properly programmed. PG&E had previously retained FPSIE to “test-market” the course and is now requiring this training for contractors to participate in the rebate program. FPSIE also has conducted training sessions for other California utilities, such as Sacramento Municipal Utility District, based on an adaptation of the CAEI course. For more information, including a list of dates and locations for the CAEI course, go to www.fpsie.org.
