W.R. Meadows turns 90 this year. To celebrate, the Hampshire, Ill.-based building materials manufacturer will recognize its staffers by profiling them on social media.
“Our employees are a crucial part of our business, supplying our customers with quality, service and integrity,” said Glenn Tench, the firm’s director of marketing. “Their contributions to the company have allowed us to reach an outstanding 90 years of operation to the construction industry.”
The manufacturer asked employees to send photos of their day-to-day work life. Any staffer who submits an image can be featured. “Every employee at every level has a hand in our success, and we wanted to showcase them all equally,” Tench explained.
W.R. Meadows began the celebration in January and will continue to showcase photos and stories on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter for the rest of 2016. Other celebrations include a reception that took place at the World of Concrete trade show in February, and 90th anniversary birthday parties at each branch
The producer was founded in 1926 by W.R. “Bob” Meadows. During World War II, it was a leading developer of vapor and waterproofing products. Today, it is best known in the pool industry for the DECK-O-SEAL line of joint sealant products, curing and sealing compounds, expansion joints, and other materials to seal pool decks.
