SPS Poolcare, the service consolidator formerly known as Smart Pool Services, unveiled six new acquisitions in January and February — three each in Florida and Texas. This comes after acquiring a dozen operations in 2024.
• Barb’s Pool Service, the most recent acquisition, is a maintenance and repair company serving the area of Charlotte County, Fla. Formerly owned by Barb Robinson, it was founded in 1986.
• Quality Pool Service, representing the 25th acquisition for the company in the greater Houston area. Previously co-owned by Mike Raley, it serves the Texas towns of Sugar Land and Missouri City.
• BriteWater Pool Service, a maintenance and repair company based in Sarasota, Fla. and formerly owned by Clyde St. Leon. The company serves Manatee and Sarasota Counties.
• Barefoot’ N Pools, serving the Fort Myers, Fla., area. Founded in 2017, the company was owned by Jordan Beerbower.
• River Rock Pools. SPS has purchased the maintenance and repair division, leaving former owner Randy Davis to focus on its custom pool-construction operation. It serves the Texas Hill Country/Austin area.
• Frontline Pool & Spa Services of New Braunfels, Texas. Founded in 2017, the company was owned by Pat Morrison.
• Super Pools, serving the Houston area and formerly owned by Carrie Berridge, was purchased in December.
These latest transactions bring SPS’ acquisition count to 115, including 20 in Florida and 68 in Texas. The company says it is on track to perform 1 million weekly pool services per year and currently employs more than 500 across four states. It is backed by the private equity firm Storr Group.
