Shasta Pools, a 60-year-old Phoenix-based pool builder and longtime PSN Top 50 company, has been sold.

The new owners, Dansons Capital Group, in partnership with Accrual Equity Partners (AEP) and Hydro Construction (HydroCon), plan to turn Shasta into a national brand. Additionally, the group said it will build upon Shasta’s pool-service business to include other home services. The new owners have not yet revealed what services the company will branch out into. The new owners also plan to invest in growing the construction and renovation division on which the company was originally founded.

Shasta Founder Skip Ast and his son, former President Skip Ast Jr., have left the company. It will retain Skip Ast, III, former director of sales, who now will serve in a business development capacity.

Shasta was founded in 1966 by brothers Skip Ast and his brother, Bob Ast. According to the company, it has built or renovated more than 150,000 pools across Maricopa County in its 60 years.

The company has begun work on a new design center and headquarters in Scottsdale to centralize operations.
