Sustainability tour. In tune with the new solar additions to this annual show, organizers will again offer a sustainability tour of the Orange County Convention Center, with its 1-megawatt solar photovoltaic system. In addition to an extensive recycling program, solar-powered parking meters, low-flow fixtures, and charging stations for electric cars and solar-powered golf carts, the convention center has one of the largest rooftop photovoltaic systems in the region. It is also replacing much of its lighting with LEDs, which use less energy. Mark your calendar for 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 if you want to come along.
