Smart Pool Services, one of the new pool/spa service and maintenance companies meant to gain a national presence by acquiring existing independent firms, has made its 10th acquisition and entered its second state.
With January’s purchase of Coastal Pool Service and Maintenance in Cape Coral, Fla., the firm makes its entry into the Florida market. With the acquisition, SPS is approaching the 10,000-pool mark, officials said.
Up to this point, SPS has focused its efforts into saturating the major markets in Texas. It began last year with the acquisition of Crystal Clear Pools & Spas in Austin and Tropical Scapes of Lakeway, Texas. It has since acquired seven more Texas companies, including Dallas-based American Pacific Pool Service; Houston, Texas companies Parrot Head Pool Service and Pelican Pool Service; Austin, Texas based firms Blue Shark Pool Care and Caribbean Blue Pools; Pool Knights, with locations in Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas; and San Antonio firms Alamo Heights Pool House and Andres Pool House.
