Smart Pool Services, one of the companies that launched last year to aggregate existing pool/spa service firms, has taken on new branding.
Moving forward, the Austin, Texas-based company will be called SPS PoolCare.
“Our refreshed name and look reflect the size and scale of our organization and our mission to elevate the pool industry as a whole,” said Fraser Ramseyer, Founder/CEO of SPS PoolCare.
The new name will be incorporated throughout the company’s family of brands, which includes more than 23 service branches spanning four states — Texas, Florida, Arizona and Nevada.
SPS will make some exceptions. For well-established regional brands, such as Las Vegas-based Splash Pool Service, and Crystal Falls Pools, in Scottsdale, Ariz., the company will apply localized versions of the new branding, so they may continue to leverage their brand equity.
SPS also has hired a new Chief Operating Officer.
Lance Martin, who begins in January, comes from pest-control powerhouse Terminix. There, he served about 30 years in various leadership roles. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Field Operations, leading domestic operations, both commercial and residential, and a team of more than 8,500 across the United States.
“This is not only a monumental day for our development as a company, but for the entire swimming pool service industry,” Ramseyer said. “Lance’s deep background in the home services space is an ideal fit for us. He is a world-class operator and an inspirational leader, and he will be a highly valuable addition to our leadership team.”
