Hot Tub Movie Night

Hot Tub Cinemas may be coming to the U.S. in the near future.

Hot Tub Cinema

Hot Tub Cinemas launched in London in 2012 and is now spreading throughout Australia. The concept is simple: Those who are longing to watch a movie in a pop-up location while sitting in an inflatable hot tub among friends and strangers can finally do so.

The tubs can heat up to 104 degrees F, and hot tub/movie goers can either book an entire tub for their party or share one with some new friends. Each hot tub has its own waiter to attend to guests’ needs.

Plans to bring Hot Tub Cinema to the U.S. are in the works, said James Farrell, a Cinema representative. Los Angeles would be their first stop. “We don’t have any specifics yet, unfortunately, [but the] West Coast is definitely [our] preference,” he said.
