Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa has recently opened three franchise locations in Texas — one each in Copperfield, South Katy and Spring. The Copperfield store opened in May, while the latter locations were scheduled to open in mid-June. A shop in the Dallas area is expected to begin doing business by the end of the year.
The Dallas store opening will bring the total of Pinch A Penny locations in Texas to eight, and the organization will continue to target additional areas in the state, including Austin, Brownsville, College Station, Corpus Christi, El Paso and San Antonio.
John Thomas, president and CEO of Pinch A Penny, attributes the organization’s interest in the Lone Star State to its large population of pool owners combined with an ideal climate for poolside living.
The expansion falls in line with company plans to expand its footprint in Texas and the Southeast. Pinch A Penny currently has more than 230 stores across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. It is also open to the idea of expanding to other parts of the country.
“Pinch A Penny has more potential franchisees in the pipeline for markets throughout the Southwest and Southeast,” said Thomas. “We will also discuss rebranding with independent pool store owners and independent pool service companies that are more interested in joining with us than competing with us.”
