Hayward Industries has acquired Kripsol Group, a Yuncos, Spain-based manufacturer of pool products, including pumps, filters, and salt chlorinators.
Sold under the Kripsol and Fiberpool brands, the products are sold for residential and commercial use.
“We’ve had a longstanding relationship with Kripsol and are delighted to add their portfolio of products and management talent to Hayward,” said Clark Hale, president of Hayward Industries, based in Elizabeth, N.J.
Kripsol will continue to operate separately. Its management said the sale means another step in the Kripsol brand's evolution. “This will provide a positive transformation for our company and employees," said Miguel Garcia Sanchez, Kripsol’s general manager. “Joining with a global leader enhances our ability to serve our customers in Europe, the Middle East and the rest of the world.”
The move should favorably position the company in the global market, said Bill Kent, CEO of Team Horner. “I think it’s probably a good thing for Hayward because it will give them a better foundation for their European business,” he said.
He notes that Fluidra, one of the top pool equipment manufacturers in the world, is based in Spain, so the acquisition should help “from a competitive standpoint.” He also notes that Hayward will now be able to bring its products to the Kripsol customer base.
