Poolwerx

Poolwerx, the retail and service franchise that started in Australia but has headquarters in the U.S., now has a presence in Tennessee.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Campbell’s Pools and Spas has signed on as a franchisee with Poolwerx. Campbell’s also relocated its Lenoir City store and reopened as a Poolwerx-branded dealership. In addition to the stores, the company adds four service vehicles to the Poolwerx network.

Tony Campbell will continue to own and operate the stores, which include hot-tub showrooms. It is expected to retain its current staff. He also will continue to operate his construction business as Campbell’s Pools.

The Tennessee company was established by Campbell in 1994. “Tony is the best of the best,” said Poolwerx CEO and founder John O’Brien. “We’re thrilled with the opportunities this collaboration brings to the business.”

Poolwerx now has 34 stores and 196 mobile service units across seven states.

The company also has hired a new director of franchise sales.

Billie Pfeiffer has worked in the pool industry for 30 years. She has served as United Aqua Group’s director of new member sales — domestic and international. She also worked for Horner Equipment in multiple capacities. She has held sales and operations management roles in Australia and Canada.

“Due to the global pandemic, people are traveling less and investing in their backyards more than ever,” Pfeiffer said. “It’s a very promising time for our industry, and there is plenty of opportunity to grow an existing independent pool service operation or become a pool entrepreneur.”

Poolwerx is currently seeking new franchisees across Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and the northeast.
