Two more heavy-hitters have been added to the lineup for the 2014 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo – and it’s a first appearance for both.
Houzz, a popular home improvement website and app, and Nissan Motor Corp. will both be at the Expo, slated for Nov. 5-7, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Houzz not only has a 50-by-40-foot booth, but is offering several seminars. Liza Hausman, vice president of marketing, will lead two classes at Booth 3808 Wednesday-Friday. The first, “Three Tips to Maximize Your Exposure on Houzz,” offers ways to propel you to the top of the search results on Houzz, where 20 million consumers go every month to find professionals for their home projects.
Hausman’s other session, “Landscaping Trends in 2014,” will reveal the results of the Houzz Spring Landscaping Trends Study, showing the most popular outdoor projects, and what’s motivating homeowners to undertake them.
A third Houzz seminar is part of the PSP Conference and will be held in Room N310G on Wednesday, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Titled “What Your Clients Want: Insights from the Largest-Ever Consumer Study of Home Renovation and Landscaping,” the class will provide information on what seniors and millennials are seeking, the impact of the economy and housing market by region, and more. It’s based on Houzz’s annual study of nearly 200,000 homeowners.
Meanwhile, Nissan debuts this year with a 50-by-50-foot booth (#3429), and a Ride and Drive activity sure to appeal to business owners interested in work vehicles. Plans are still being finalized, including exactly which vehicles will be on site, but pickups and minivans could well be in the mix, said Tracy Garcia, CEM, director of the Expo.
To test-drive a Nissan, head for the area near the Hot Spot, which is located right outside and off the show floor. Additionally, another vehicle will be parked there, and attendees are welcome to ask questions and see how it can be retrofitted for their businesses.
Of the 2014 show, Garcia said, “We’re really excited to be going back to the Southeast -- the first time for the PSP Expo to be there since 2007. This year’s show will have lots of great new opportunities and things to see – all under one roof!”
The International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo and PSN are owned by Hanley Wood.
