The Independent Pool and Spa Service Association has increased its annual allotment to help members defray instruction costs.

Now, members may be reimbursed up to $500 per calendar year.

These funds are meant to reduce costs of courses such as those to help earn Certified Pool Operator and Aquatics Facility Operator statuses, as well as contractor license instruction, manufacturer-sponsored courses, seminars at industry trade shows and business and trade school classes.

“As the cost of educational classes continues to rise, IPSSA wants to continue to support all self-employed pool and spa service professionals seeking to advance their professional training and education to have less of a financial burden doing so,” said Rose Smoot, executive director of IPSSA.
