The Independent Pool and Spa Service Association has expanded its education fund to subsidize multiple classes.
Whether or not they are IPSSA members, self-employed swimming pool/spa service professionals in California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Texas are eligible for the program. The courses must be those approved by the organization. They include the Certified Pool Operator course. The seminars can be taken at industry trade shows.
Service professionals no longer have to apply for the funds. Instead, they can go directly to those organizations or entities that offer the courses.
"The goal is to ensure the cost of a [continuing education] doesn't keep service professionals from taking a class," said IPSSA Executive Director Rose Smoot. “...IPSSA wants all self-employed service professionals seeking to advance their professional training and education to have less of a financial burden in doing so.”
