Late last month, the national distributor Heritage Pool Supply Group gained its first Idaho-based operation with the acquisition of All Iowa Pool, based in Des Moines.

Heritage, itself headquartered in McKinney, Texas, entered the pool/spa industry in 2021, when it began acquiring independent distributors to form a network of independent, local distributors that generally retain their original brands, operations and staffs.

With this transaction, the distributor now does business in 30 states, with 18 brands and 110 locations.

Founded in 1947, Iowa Pool is run by Matt and Deanne Main, the latter of whom will continue to lead the operation, now as a part of Heritage.

“The Company provides Heritage with an excellent opportunity to extend our geographic coverage in the Midwest region as we continue our nationwide expansion," said Heritage President Dave Cook. "All Iowa has developed a strong local identity in its market, which we intend to preserve and build upon for years to come.”

Said the Mains in a press release: “We are excited to be able to accelerate our growth by teaming up with our friends at Heritage, [which] plans to invest heavily in our business as we join forces together."

In its two years, Heritage has undergone a very rapid growth trajectory, which accelerated greatly in December of that year when it purchased and absorbed Florida Water Products, which had been growing via acquisition throughout the Sunbelt. The Heritage group now includes such renowned independent distributors as Bel Aqua of New Rochelle, N.Y., and Hachik of Aston, Pa., along with tile suppliers Noble Tile Supply and Classic Pool Tile, among others.
