Latham’s Odessa, Texas-based fiberglass facility recently was affected by a fire, the company said in a press release. No employees were present at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
The Odessa location is solely dedicated to manufacturing inground fiberglass pools. The fire primarily impacted the facility’s production area.
While existing inventory in the facility was largely unaffected, the company has paused production along with pool deliveries from the Odessa facility while local authorities investigate the fire.
Latham stated that it is “in the process of identifying opportunities to redeploy assets and resources to its other U.S. fiberglass manufacturing facilities to minimize disruption in its service to impacted dealers and consumers.”
