This weekend, I spent nearly 7 hours preparing a video tutorial to help members of the swimming pool industry with the Twitter sign up and profile creation process. And it was worth every minute. I’m thrilled to be sharing it with our readers in the coming weeks.

I’m equally excited about the prospect of others stumbling upon my creation. This very well could happen if I use the tools readily available to ensure maximum outreach and exposure. Of course, the finished product will appear on the Pool & Spa News home page as a featured video. It will become available along with Part 1 of the two-part series that publishes on April 26.

But that’s not all. I will be taking full advantage of YouTube, the world’s second largest search engine. Although still in its infancy stage (so please don’t take this as a promotion — not yet any way), PSN now has a YouTube channel that will be more fully developed very soon.

We've taken the cue from experts, who highly suggest every business owner take the extra few minutes to create a personalized channel. Uploading a single video simply won’t cut it anymore.

Moreover, optimizing an individual video and the channel are both essential. And when it comes to SEO, the written content is more crucial than the actual video itself.
