The California Pool & Spa Association is looking for industry leaders to head up five chapters that it plans to create. The chapters will cover Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County and Sacramento.
The organization expects this to help unify the industry in a state that has long been considered fragmented, by promoting more involvement and networking at local meetings and perhaps training.
“Right now, California contractors don’t talk to each other,” said CPSA Chairman of the Board Scott Cohen. “The purpose of CPSA is to give us a voice, a venue where we can talk to each other with the same goals in mind — to be in a successful industry.”
After the five chapters are established, more may follow in San Jose, Riverside, Fresno, Long Beach and Oakland, Cohen said.
