Carecraft took to Miami and Key West to celebrate its 30th anniversary at its annual meeting Feb. 14-21.
Approximately 550 individuals representing 175 member firms attended. Educational offerings included courses by pool builder and professional engineer David Peterson, who gave presentations on advanced oxidation processes and intricate spa design. Genesis co-founder Brian Van Bower presented design case studies. In addition, 88 suppliers exhibited at a three-day table-top show. Attendees also toured the factory of manufacturer Artistic Pavers.
Fun events included a concert by Departure – the Journey Tribute Band, and a pool party, along with several dinner gatherings.
All in attendance have reported a good year. “Our year so far in 2016 is well above last year, based on the strength of great weather and a stronger economy for consumers desiring pools and remodels,” said the organization’s president, Greg Howard.
The group next meets on the Southern California coast, in Dana Point, Feb. 20-25, 2017.
