Alpentile, a Phoenix-based tile installer, won a national award for residential tile installation at the 2015 Coverings Installation and Design Awards in early May. The company, run by husband and wife Luke and Amy Denny, won the Grand Prize from the same awards show in 2013.
The CID Awards are specific to builders who use tile and stone in residential and commercial, sustainable and international projects.
This year’s winning project was featured in PSN’s 2014 Masters of Design. Alpentile installed 2,500 square feet of hand-crafted glass mosaics.
“Luke and I are keeping traditional mosaic and sculpture methods alive in an industry where technology, budget and timelines make fine hand-craftsmanship a rare find,” Amy Denny said. “Our hope is to inspire others to seek mastery of their craft as well.”
