A 3 time Masters of Design Award winner, Scott has been featured on several Home and Garden Television shows such as Cool Pools, OMG Backyards, and Get Out, Way Out! He also serves as a member of the California Contractors Board Industry Expert Program, and as a construction defect expert witness for swimming pools, concrete, and landscape.
Scott’s passion for design began as a boyhood fascination with sculpture, drawing, architecture and gardening. At the age of 15, he started his own successful landscape maintenance business and began to self-teach many of the innovative landscaping methods he still uses today—more than three decades later— at The Green Scene.
The Green Scene’s popularity and growth can be attributed to Scott’s unique approach to creating outdoor resort-style landscape designs that reflect the personalities of the homeowners as well as the attributes of the home and yard. Scott likes to incorporate the homeowner’s hobbies and interests into his designs to give each a truly personalized project. His artistic abilities and years of creating innovative designs have given him the uncanny ability to visualize a dramatic showplace within moments of entering a yard, often beginning his first sketches as his clients discuss their wish list of amenities. Cohen is known for constantly pushing the envelope with new construction techniques and developing his management systems to deliver unparalleled workmanship and professionalism to his clients.
