In April, the United States Environmental Protection Agency recognized Pentair Aquatic Systems with a 2015 Energy Star Partner of the year award. This comes in recognition of the company’s contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers. This is the second consecutive Partner of the Year award for Pentair, well known for its variable-speed pumps. The manufacturer has been an Energy Star partner since 2013. To earn Energy Star certification, pumps must be 30- to 72 percent more energy efficient than average. Fifty-seven of Pentair’s pump models meet this requirement.
“At Pentair, we are committed to innovative technologies to maximize energy efficiencies,” said Karl R. Frykman, president of water quality systems at Pentair. “In addition to manufacturing energy-efficient products, we work to educate our customers about energy consumption through our Energy Initiative Program that shares pool energy efficiency and Energy Star benefits at utility and energy conferences throughout the U.S.”
Pentair was honored with the award on April 20, 2015 in Washington, D.C.
