The Florida Swimming Pool Association is looking for a few good service techs. FSPA soon will be rolling out its inaugural Service Professional of the Year Award.
Judges will be looking at the technical acumen and customer-service skills of the service professionals who apply. Technical accomplishment and professional credentials, education and experience will be taken into account.
Each chapter of the organization will select a winner, who will be named the FSPA Service Professional of the Year and receive a plaque at the Everything Under the Sun Expo in Orlando on Feb. 11, 2016.
The organization also will debut its Tops in Trucks awards. These will recognize company fleets that display attractive graphics or boast innovative modifications. Categories will include Fleet Vehicle Graphic Design, Modified (tricked out) Service Truck and Modified (tricked out) Repair Truck.
“Hopefully, it encourages others to follow great examples that can increase brand recognition, work efficiently and positively affect sales and the image of pool professionals,” the organization stated.
Judges will assess graphic design entries on overall graphic appeal, legibility of contact information, creativity and organization of design elements. The modified truck organization entries will be judged on storage of tools, supplies and parts; creativity; organization; logical modifications; and mobile office capabilities. These winners also will be awarded at the expo.
In addition to plaques, winners can place an electronic version of the winner logo/badge image on their company websites.
FSPA also will send press releases announcing the honorees to local media outlets and the trade press. A template press release will be given to winners to promote on their own.
