The Albany (N.Y.) Business Review named Latham Industries Company of the Year.
The Latham, N.Y. producer of vinyl-liner- and fiberglass pools was recognized for an ambitious strategy to boost revenues from $300 million to $500 million, and to expand its reach internationally.
The publication noted Latham's recent acquisition of an Australian pool-supply company, which gave it a foothold not only in that country, but also in New Zealand and increasing its marketshare in Canada and Europe. It also mentioned aspirations to make acquisitions in Europe.
