Martha’s Village & Kitchen, an Indio, Calif.-based charity serving the homeless, has Hayward-built go-carts to thank for a recent $1,500 donation.
As part of a team-building exercise at Hayward Pool Products’ recent global sales meeting in Indian Wells, Calif., Hayward’s sales teams built and raced go-carts. The winning team was awarded prize money based on design and speed, and chose Martha’s Village & Kitchen to benefit from their winnings.
“Hayward is proud to support a worthwhile organization that is dedicated to helping individuals and families in need,” said Mike Massa, vice president of Hayward Sales. “We look for a respected local charity near our sales meeting site to be the beneficiary of our team-building event.”
