American manufacturer Cal Spas now has a distributor for the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland – as well as an endorsement deal with British Olympian Louis Smith.

Cal Spas of Pomona, Calif., has named Posh Spas Leisure of Peterborough, England, as the new distributor. “We have been in the hot tub industry for a decade and understand the UK marketplace,” said owner Andy Hutchinson. “With a background in distribution and logistics, we feel we are very qualified to represent Cal Spas in the UK.”

The other big announcement is that Cal Spas, Posh Spas Leisure and Smith teamed up to create a special signature hot tub series that reflects the British Olympic gymnast’s character, with an emphasis on wellness and a healthy lifestyle.

Smith, who turns 26 in April, has been an artistic gymnast for seven years, competing in the Olympics, World Championships and the Commonwealth Games – and winning gold, silver and bronze medals along the way. Smith also won the 10th season of the BBC TV series “Strictly Come Dancing” – the British version of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

Posh Spas Leisure’s Hutchinson called the signature hot tub series a “fantastic marketing tool” to help drive foot traffic to dealer showrooms. He added that “Louis is an inspirational character who I see as a credible ambassador for the benefits of hot tub ownership.”
