Ken Breau has crossed a lot of finish lines in his running career, but his most recent race earned him more than a ribbon.

The owner of Crystal Clear Pool and Spa, maker of Eclipse3 pool and spa chemicals, was honored with the Paul Harris Fellow award. The Burlington, Ontario, Canada-based industry professional completed his sixth Rotary Brantford Classic Run, an annual race that raises funds for special-needs and underprivileged children.

This year’s race, presented by the Brantford, Ontario Chapter of Rotary International, raised nearly $74,000, of which Breau raised nearly $12,000. But looking at his participation as a running total, he has raised more than $70,000. With the Paul Harris Fellow award, named after the organization’s founder, the club will donate $1,000 in Breau’s name to the Rotary’s annual fund, its PolioPlus program or an approved foundation grant.
