Tuuci Worldwide has made its first acquisition.
The Miami-based designer and manufacturer of shade structures acquired custom outdoor furniture-maker Pavilion Furniture, also based in Miami.
Pavilion will continue to operate as a separate brand, independent of Tuuci’s umbrella and cabana divisions, according to a press release.
The acquisition places Ward Usmar as president of Pavilion. Usmar has served as Tuuci’s senior vice president of sales for the past 15 years. He also served on the board of the International Casual Furnishings Association from 2011 to 2016, including as chairman from 2013 to 2014.
Tuuci’s products are specified for commercial use at leading resorts, hotels and restaurants.
Likewise, Pavilion produces exterior furniture for commercial properties.
