In lieu of its scheduled in-person conference in San Diego, the National Plasterers Council will hold a virtual conference due to the hazards of the current pandemic.
Held annually in February, the NPC Conference is geared toward pool/spa plasterers and related professionals in the industry. With case counts on the rise and California continuing to restrict events in the state, the organization has decided to host a virtual event, which will take place at the originally scheduled time, Feb. 10-11, 2021.
NPC has chosen the platform Whova, which many members have used, it said in a press release. In addition to attending educational sessions, registrants will be able to chat with each other, ask questions during presentations and visit exhibitor web pages that can be manned live.
The group also will hold its live auction, long a conference tradition. “Not even COVID-19 will stop us making that so in 2021,” said NPC President Jeff Henderson in the press release. One auction will take place both days, with Jay Eaton once again serving as auctioneer.
Those who register will be able to view conference sessions for up to 30 days after its close.
Committee meetings that traditionally take place during the conference will be held the week before via video conference.
