One of this industry's retailing paragons, Seattle-based Olympic Hot Tub, celebrates its 40th anniversary this month. The legendary company will mark the occasion with an anniversary sale and product giveaways.

“It’s amazing to think that the company Alice [Cunningham] and Blair [Osborn] started is turning 40!,” said Don Riling, president. “It’s been a treat for me to be here for over half of that time and to now be in the position to continue their legacy.”

To help celebrate the event, Olympic employees will be treated to mugs and t-shirts emblazoned with the image of Olympic’s official 40th anniversary poster. The swag will also be given to customers and selected vendors.

Olympic Hot Tub recently held a grand opening celebration, which marked the company’s move back to the shores of Lake Union, less than a mile from where the business originally stood when it first opened in 1977.

As for the future of the business, Riling is contemplating some pretty big moves. “I’m hoping that within the next seven years our company has continued to flourish, [and we will] open a new location or two,” he said.
