As the show floor opened to attendees of the 2014 Atlantic City Pool & Spa Show January 28, the industry discovered a whole new look to the annual event.

After 32 years, the Northeast Spa and Pool Association announced the show had been officially renamed The Pool & Spa Show powered by the Northeast Spa and Pool Association. A new logo also was introduced.

“This is an exciting time for the show and the Northeast Spa and Pool Association,” said Show Manager Trish McCormick in a press release. “We have spent many years working towards today’s announcement, and the focus of those efforts has been on making sure everything about our show reflects who were [sic] are and what we've become. The change in our name is small when it comes to the words themselves but it is huge in its meaning."

The show began in New York City in 1978 and after a brief hiatus relocated to Atalntic City in 1981, where it has been held since. It has grown from a few dozen exhibitors and a handful of education programs to feature more than 430 exhibitors and 75-plus seminars each year.
