If one drives through Harbor Springs, Mich. there is a very good chance of passing by one of the trucks in Gow Litzenburger's fleet. In fact, they are hard to miss. And that's the point.

The owner of  Litzenburger Landscape has a fleet of roughly three dozen vintage trucks dating from the 1930s through the 1970s. But it wasn't always the case, as the Petoskey News-Review reports. When Litzenburger first entered the landscape field in the 1980s, the only truck at his disposal was a 1939 Chevrolet he restored as a teenager. Since then, Litzenburger has turned what he considered a novelty into marketing magic.

"As the business grew and the need for more trucks emerged, he decided to keep re-purposing models from decades past," notes the Petoskey News-Review. "These trucks — acquired in Northern Michigan as well as in locales farther south — have typically undergone a frame-up restoration." Read More
