Each year, our top-notch Interactives department likes to present nifty maps and charts that will help you parse out the information in interesting ways. Below, you’ll find two maps – one that even allows you to not only see where each builder is located, but to bring up information about each. The bottom graphic plots out companies based on the total residential construction revenue and number of excavations from 2015.

Some tips for each feature:

  • Scatterplot: On the bottom graphic, simply hover the mouse over each dot to see the information. To isolate the dots in a certain region, remove the other regions by clicking on their designation below.
  • Regional breakdown: For the middle map, simply hover the cursor over a region to learn about such things as aggregate revenue, total number excavations and average pool price in a region.
  • Pin map: The map directly below allows you to view key data about each Top 50 Builder, and even to click on to a special page we created with more information. Simply click on a location pin to bring up information about that builder, including its ranking. To separate pins that are close together, simply zoom the map on that area to create more distance between pins.

The collective Northeast made the next-biggest showing, with 12 companies, including the first Canadian firm to make the list – Gib-San Pools of Toronto.
