Haogenplast, a thermoplastic membrane manufacture in Israel, and Pixiu Solutions, a recycler of automotive seating vinyl in North America, have started a joint venture to position both companies into the North American thermoplastics market. The venture will be called pH plastics and will be based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
Product lines for pH plastics will include items for the pool industry, such as pool liner film and reinforced pool liners, among other items for construction applications. Haogenplast will contribute its manufacturing capabilities and Pixiu Solutions will handle distribution and market knowledge.
“Haogenplast has been developing and manufacturing various technical and sophisticated outdoor PVC and ElvaFlex membranes as well as decorative PVC exterior and interior films successfully for the past 65 years, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to bring those highly engineered products to the North American market,” said Jean Rablat, vice president of Pixiu Solutions.
Both companies will be equal partners, with each owning 50% of the joint venture. All products will be sold under pH plastics with distribution centers in Canada and the United States.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to bring all our experience and know-how to the North American market," said Oren Zveda, CEO of Haogenplast.
