Evosus, the maker of business management software for the pool, spa, and hearth industries, has added two members to its leadership team. David Weisong will be the vice president of software development, and Doug Evans takes the role of vice president of product. The Vancouver, Wash.-based company says both hires are part of its plan to offer more products and enhancements to business owners for 2017.

Weisong’s past experience in the software industry includes working as director of DevOps at Virreo, a company that develops financial industry-focused, software solutions and as CTO for HomeLab, a US residential energy monitoring software company. Since joining Evosus, the company credits him as being instrumental in the launch of EMV credit card processing, launching the new Evosus Analytics program, and accelerating development of future mobile and web applications.

Before joining Evosus, Evans served as senior director of product management at Accela and CTO/VP of product and engineering at Springbrook Software. He was also an advisor for corporations that reached important growth phases in product development and strategic SaaS initiatives. Evans’ goal at Evosus will be to grow the software applications through identifying new features and product offerings that support its customers.

“We are excited to see what happens when Doug takes that experience and aligns it to the goals of this industry as well as our business,” said Germundson.

Evosus has been building software for the pool, spa, and hearth industries for 15 years.
