A customer with a backyard too small for a pool still wanted a natural-looking waterfeature.

Bill Renter, owner of The Deck & Patio Co. in Huntington Station, N.Y., was able to help. He gave the client the desired effect by using tumbled pavers in a color called sandalwood surrounding an 11-by-7-foot vinyl spa.

A moss rock waterfall and natural gas campfire were added to give the project the look and feel of the great outdoors. The pavers were placed in a random pattern, with a circular accent in the center of the patio as a focal point. In all, Renter used five shapes of pavers in varying shades, including sand, gray, mauve and blue-gray.
