It's no secret outdoor living is a growing trend. More and more homeowners are seeking to spruce up their yards with a new or remodeled pool, the addition of a hot tub, and a redefined space that includes an open-air kitchen and living room.
Of course, a deck incorporated into the landscape design tops the list of must-haves for many clients.
Luckily, in recent years the decking industry has ramped up the production of products, particularly in the area of wood alternatives. And customers are enjoying the variety, reports sister publication REMODELING.
"Business volume is back to where it was five years ago,” says Michael Beaudry, executive VP at the North American Deck and Railing Association.
Helping this rise in popularity is the increasing number of accessories available, allowing clients to add customer touches to their outdoor living spaces.
