This year, the Master Pools Guild is working with The Water Project, a nonprofit organization that works to bring clean water to communities in sub-Saharan Africa. “As you know, our members make their living working with water,” said Teri Wiltshire, special projects coordinator for Master Pools. “We appreciate having the opportunity to help people enjoy themselves recreationally using this resource and feel this is an important and meaningful effort to help people who are not as fortunate.” The organization is working to raise $10,000 in 2015, and has undertaken several projects to meet that goal. Members are challenging one another to raise funds. The industry organization will host a silent auction and casino night on Friday, Oct. 23 during its Fall Meeting in Baltimore. The group is soliciting auction items from member builders and vendors. In addition, Master Pools has created an online fund-raising page on the nonprofit’s site.
