Howard Brett Lipstein, a longtime independent sales representative, died Sept. 14, 2015. He was 64. Lipstein lived in Wayne, N.J., and was president of Brett Howard Associates, working in the pool and toy industries for more than 25 years. Prior to that, he was a partner at the rep firm Bravman Associates. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Rider University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

“Loyalty is the best word that can describe Howard’s support throughout the years. He was a true friend you could count on,” said colleagues at Swim’n Play Inc., an aboveground pool manufacturer in Rahway, N.J. “Like his idol, Mickey Mantle, Howard hit home runs every time he went to bat. Howard was a super-avid Yankees fan and [also] loved playing softball, bowling and table tennis, and traveling. Howard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”

He is survived by his wife, Nora Gordon; daughter Liza Lipstein (Jason) Mandelbaum; mother Joan Lipstein, brother Robert Lipstein; and stepchildren Michelle and Andy Gordon and Jennifer (Hayden) West.
